Nike KD 7 LACQUER BLUE | Official Photos

The Nike KD 7 Lacquer Blue releases this week, a colorful nod to the importance of January.

The month is halfway into the season — the homestretch, truly — when every road game seems to count double. The KD 7 Blue Lacquer celebrates Kevin Durant’s affinity for playing away games, when the pressure is truly on, with a bright blue upper that sees a solid-mesh toe give way to wild black camo-and-lightning print on the Hyperposite heel. Orange resides in the Zoom unit, delivering contrast and an extra pop of Thunder spirit.

Grab a pair on January 15, including at online accounts like Nike.com at 10am EST, and hit the road.

NIKEiD KD 7 “Road Camo” Graphic Launches This Week

The KD 7 Lacquer Blue launches this week, boasting a distinct tiger-camo graphic and bold blue palette that combine to yield an aesthetic that celebrates the importance of road-games down the season’s homestretch. Of course, Kevin Durant plays for the Thunder, so those road games necessitate blue shoes. How about folks who play for differently-colored squads?

For them, there’s the NIKEiD KD 7 Road Camo option, a graphic that allows NIKEiD users to utilize that same lightning-camo print as the “Lacquer Blue,” but do so with absolutely any palette. It too will launch January 15, and will be available (of course) on NIKEiD.com.

Check out a full mock-up below, and pick up your pair of road-inspired KD 7’s Thursday, be they the in-line blue edition or the iD any-color version.

Nike Air Command Force WASHED DENIM Release Date(s)

Been waiting on that Nike Air Command Force Washed Denim release date? Well, we’ve got it. In fact, we have several.

A true tribute to the 90s — Ostentatious ultra-hightop design? Acid-washed denim construction? Neon pink accents? Man. . . . — the shoe will reportedly hit select retailers such as New York’s Sneaker Bistro on January 15.

Of course there’s also the Sneaker Politics of the world, which will launch their stock two days later; January 17.

And don’t forget about January 29, when shops from New York’s Extra Butter to Footlocker.com will launch the dapper denim dandy.

If any universal consensus is come to, we’ll update you. Until then, check out plenty of shots below, and mark your calendar. Three times.

Air Jordan XX “Laser” | A Look at the 2015 Retro

As you may know, 2015 will be a huge year for Jordan Brand, as they roll out their remastered retro line, and do so in spades — with myriad colorways of so many classic models set to hit stores before the year’s even halfway over. And now, for a nice change of pace, we get a look at a talked-about but seldom-seen piece of the ’15 retro puzzle: the neo-classic Air Jordan XX Laser.

Just as the “remastering” has promised, the shoe appears to remain remarkably faithful to the original silhouette and style of the XX, as intricate, ornate graphics are laser-etched into the white leather upper, recounting the history of Jordan Brand as the famous shoe line celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Smooth white leather appears on the midfoot-strap, meanwhile, and smooth grey on the collar and ankle-strap, adding cool, crisp, complementary styling.

While the “Stealth” XX hits shelves in March, we’re still waiting on an Air Jordan XX Laser release date, although it’s thought to be part of the Spring 2015 (read: January-March) collection. Stay tuned.

Nike LeBron 12 Crimson/Navy | First Look

Nike Basketball opts once more for a striking palette on its latest LeBron, with disparate tones commingling to yield the kind of contrast that’s sure to turn heads. Call it the Nike LeBron 12 Crimson/Navy.

Again incorporating a graphic print on the Hyperposite — albeit subtly tonal — the shoe’s overlays feature a sort of carbon fiber-printed red, alongside crimson-flecked navy Megafuse. Bright blue adds a touch of complementary contrast on the Swoosh and laces, and an icy outsole rounds out the look, a recurring theme on the LeBron 12.

No word yet on a Nike LeBron 12 Crimson/Navy release date — nor when we’ll see the Arizona Wildcats wearing them; soon, surely — so stay tuned for updates.

There’s some absolute heat on tap for men’s-sized feet this weekend — from Black History Month styles to LeBron 12s — but the smaller-footed folks won’t exactly be left out in the cold, either. Case in point, the Girls Air Jordan 4 Fuchsia release date is slated for Saturday, January 17.

The first model available in the newly extended grade school sizes, the shoe boasts a black leather upper set off by glowing lime inlays, with fuchsia popping off the accents. It’s not exactly a traditional Jordan palette, but good looks are good looks, right?

Grab a pair February 26, including at online retailers such as Nike.com beginning at 10am EST/7am EST, and check out plenty of photos below.

“Medicine Ball” Motif is Coming to Air Trainer SC II Low

As we’ve previously reported, the classic Air Trainer SC II is returning in its beloved, long-awaited lowtop iteration in 2015. Better yet? That Low will don a truly classic Nike Training colorway. I give you the Nike Air Trainer SC II Low Medicine Ball.

Just as you’d expect, the sleeker, slimmer lowtop SC II mixes white and chestnut leather on the upper, offset by navy blue accents and off-white detailing — the hallmarks of the “Medicine Ball” palette that recently graced the Air Trainer III and Air Trainer Huarache.

It’s a truly classic motif, and one that’s a beautiful fit on the equally classic training model turned fashion icon.

The Nike Air Trainer SC II Low Medicine Ball release is expected in February 2015. Further details as they develop. . . .
